walking for kids

Stacy is at again for BCMC. Our Spring Fundraiser on April 14th will be part of the Unity Campaign for The United Way of The Eastern Panhandle. How many laps can Stacy walk around a gym with a full size basketball court? 25 laps, 30, 40, 50? We will find out April 14th and your donations will help BlackCat Music Cooperative continue it’s youth musical programs including the new Youth Mentorship Program.

Here’s a link to our Unity Campaign donation page.

Support The Unity Campaign

BlackCat Music Cooperative (BCMC) is teaming with the United Way of the Eastern Panhandle by participating in the Unity Campaign, a wonderful giving event to help raise money for more than 31 local nonprofits serving the Eastern Panhandle. BCMC plans to use funds to support the new Youth Mentorship Program. The official campaign begins in April, but funds are being accepted now at the site listed below. From April 12 – 23, when you give through the Unity Campaign, 100% of your donation will go to the nonprofit of your choice. Even more exciting, a portion of your gift will be matched by a sponsor! Support BCMC and United Way during the Unity Campaign!

BCMC ukulele rainbow

BlackCat Music Cooperative students decorated ukuleles to depict the many offerings of our new Youth Mentorship Program. From songwriting to dancing, sound editing, singing, playing and more – they did a great job! The ukes are on display at the Morgan Arts Council Ice House Gallery in Berkeley Springs as part of Youth Art Month and can be seen every weekend in March. Thank you to the students, their families, and our instructors for helping to make this wonderful project a reality!
