
Janet Gauthier – Executive Director. Janet is one of the founding partners of BlackCat Music Shop & Studio in Berkeley Springs, WV and an artist/teacher at AnayaArt Studio in Great Cacapon, WV. Janet has a 20-year history as a senior manager in a leading retail flooring business and as a partner in Terrace Café, a successful breakfast and lunch spot in the DC metropolitan area. Kathryn Gauthier – Secretary. Kathy is a certified Physician Assistant at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. A retired Air Force colonel and senior intelligence/cyber professional, she has decades of operational, cross-cultural, and leadership experience. She is currently filling several leadership roles in Mercy Focus on Haiti, a nonprofit initiative to collaborate with Haitian partners to improve conditions for the people and the planet.

Robert Howard – Treasurer. Robert is a founding partner of BlackCat Music Shop & Studio in Berkeley Springs, WV, a CASA advocate for the past 10 years, a trained Recovery Coach, and a substitute teacher in the Morgan County School System. He was a hospital CEO and corporate executive for 25 years.

Maureen Mylander. Maureen is a published author of five non-fiction books and a novel, and as a freelancer, ghostwrote 235 of the late Dr. Michael Halberstam’s health advice columns for the New York Times. She also served as writer/editor for the Army Medical Service and National Institutes of Health. Her book, Gesundheit!, co-authored with Dr. Patch Adams, became the 1998 film, Patch Adams.

Mike Kligerman. Mike, artist and musician, is a multi-instrumentalist who formerly played violin in the Nairobi (Kenya) Opera Orchestra, taught at the Kenya Conservatory of Music, and was principal viola in the Montgomery Philharmonic Orchestra. He taught folk guitar at Glen Echo Park for over 35 years. Mike is now dedicating himself full-time as a BCMC mentor and teaches ukulele, guitar, violin and cello.
